In-House Teeth Whitening

Cosmetic dentistry has become an increasingly popular way to give your overall appearance a boost and enhance your smile. And professional teeth whitening is a fantastic treatment on its own or as part of a smile makeover, getting you vacation-ready or giving you the confidence to excel in business meetings.

At All Dental Tampa Palms, we offer professional laser whitening using Opalescence Boost™, a fast, safe, and effective way to brighten your smile and give you a smile you can’t wait to show others.

What Causes Tooth Stains?

If your teeth are stained or discolored, it’s likely because of one or more of the following:

  • Food and drinks — Coffee, tea, red wine, dark berries, tomato sauce, and soy sauce can stain your teeth over time.
  • Tobacco use — Smoking or using smokeless tobacco causes yellow or brown stains.
  • Poor hygiene — Infrequent brushing or flossing leads to plaque buildup and stained teeth.
  • Aging — Over time, your enamel wears down, exposing the yellow dentin layer.
  • Medications — Certain medications cause tooth discoloration.
  • Trauma — Tooth trauma can cause your tooth to look dark or discolored.

How Does Opalescence Boost Work?

When you visit us for a teeth whitening consultation, we’ll examine your teeth and gums to ensure you’re a good candidate. Opalescence Boost is ideal for patients seeking fast results or preparing for an event.

For an all-inclusive price of only $500, you’ll receive two to three 20-minute sessions, four at-home single-use trays to maintain your results, and continued support from your Tampa dental team.

Here’s what you can expect from the procedure:

  • First, we’ll place a protective barrier along your gumline and use a lip and cheek retractor to keep your soft tissues away from your teeth.
  • Then, we’ll place the hydrogen peroxide gel onto your teeth.
  • Using a laser light, we’ll activate the gel to get the maximum whitening benefits.
  • We’ll remove the gel from your teeth and repeat the process up to two more times until we achieve the desired results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Regular brushing and flossing at home is essential for good oral health. However, even the most diligent home care routine can't completely replace professional dental cleanings. Here's why:

Tartar Can Only Be Removed Professionally

While brushing and flossing effectively remove plaque (the soft, sticky film that constantly forms on teeth), any remaining plaque eventually hardens into tartar (calculus). This mineral buildup:

  • Cannot be removed with regular brushing and flossing
  • Requires special scaling instruments used by dental professionals
  • Forms in hard-to-reach areas, even with excellent home care
  • Creates rough surfaces where more plaque accumulates more easily

We Access Areas Your Floss Can't Reach

Despite your best efforts, certain areas in your mouth are challenging to clean thoroughly:

  • The very back surfaces of your last molars
  • Deep between teeth, especially those that are slightly crowded
  • Below the gumline, where bacteria can hide and cause inflammation
  • Areas around dental work like crowns, bridges, and implants

Our hygienists have specialized tools and training to access these difficult spots and remove buildup that your toothbrush and floss simply can't reach.

A Healthy Smile Takes a Team Effort

If you brush and floss consistently, keep up the good work! However, your efforts are most effective when combined with six-month checkups at our Tampa Palms dental office. Call us today at (813) 544-7023 to schedule your next teeth cleaning to ensure your healthy smile stays that way.
