Porcelain veneers aren’t painful to get because our skilled team will completely numb your mouth before beginning the procedure. You may feel slight sensitivity to hot and cold temperatures after the procedure, and your gums may be somewhat tender, but that’s temporary.
What Are Veneers?
Veneers are thin porcelain shells that are bonded to the front sides of your teeth, enhancing your smile’s appearance and concealing the following concerns:
- Discolored teeth
- Chipped teeth
- Cracked or broken teeth
- Gapped teeth
- Misaligned teeth
- Worn teeth
- Misshapen teeth
Your Comfort Is Key
We strive to keep every patient as comfortable as possible during treatment; for the veneers procedure, we remove a small amount of tooth enamel to make room for the width of the veneers. Before we begin, we’ll use local anesthesia to numb your mouth.
If you experience any temporary sensitivity after the procedure, here’s what you can do:
- Use desensitizing toothpaste and a soft toothbrush.
- Avoid hot and cold beverages and food.
- Eat soft foods for a few days.
We also offer composite veneers for patients who want a more economical, less invasive option.
